Step 5: Confirm your registration and sign into your student account Within two business days, you will receive an email confirming your registration and providing more information. If you already have a student account, you can log in to MyMRU.ca to check your schedule. Just received a student account? Please refer to the confirmation email and go to MyMRU.ca to activate your account. Please note that your username and password are not the same as your Online Registration Student ID and PIN. If you have any problems, call 403.440.6000. You can also access your student records, such as unofficial transcripts and tax forms, at MyMRU.ca.
Step 6: Download our Welcome Guide This guide (available at mru.ca/Welcome) provides you with information on parking (there is also a map on page 94), the BookStore, campus amenities and other general information.
Free tutorial for online learners For online learners, it is highly recommended you take a FREE tutorial. In this five-hour tutorial, you will learn important tips and practice submitting an assignment, sending a test email, starting a discussion online, taking a quiz and reviewing your grades. For spring classes, go to CRN 50072 and sign up. The tutorial is open from May 1 to June 30, 2018. For summer classes, go to CRN 70070 and sign up. The tutorial is open from July 3 to Aug. 31, 2018.
Withdrawal policy When do you need to withdraw? For regular Continuing Education courses, withdrawals must be received no later than four business days before the course start date to be eligible for a refund. Some courses or programs have special withdrawal/refund policies that supersede this withdrawal policy. These can be found on your confirmation of registration letter. For full-time certificate programs and print-based distance-delivered courses/programs, withdrawals must be received 10 business days before the course start date to be eligible for a refund. How much will you get back? All withdrawal refunds are subject to an administration fee of 10 per cent of the course tuition to a maximum of $50. Refunds may take up to two weeks to process.
