Miss Sexton notified myself and my husband via email about how hard our daughter was working in maths and how much effort she was putting in. It is lovely to receive positive feedback as well as the not so positive feedback. It made our day and encouraged our daughter to keep up her efforts.

Helping students struggling in mathematics believe in themselves through various strategies and approaches; making modifications through out the term, displaying enormous commitment to the students she teaches. This includes showing up and being enthusiastically available every afternoon to the academic mentoring. She inspires and encourages students to enjoy maths and science and most importantly, believe in their own capabilities. What an outstanding teacher!

Trish Scherer has been such a guiding light for our daughter in navigating the new system, new school and new language! She exemplifies everything a teacher should be. She is helpful, kind, funny and our daughter adores her. Trish is very mindful of the challenges we face and always keeps us updated and is quick to respond to any question we might have.

Frances Day
Very relatable and compassionate teacher. A wonderful role model and example of what a modern day teacher is. Found her sitting on a wall and chatting with my daughter while she was waiting to be picked up after school. Milly often comments “Oh my God, I love Ms Day”.
Kathryn Arenas
Ms Arenas has been my daughter’s teacher for the last two years. Most recently during her exam/assessment time, Ms Arenas gave her much needed guidance, support and understanding. She also went out of her way to check in on her mental health and that of her peers. Ms Arenas we cannot Thankyou enough. You are an absolute asset to the school. We are so grateful she has someone to go to when she needs it the most.

Being a new parent in 2024 at a with a daughter who loves to play sport Charmaine has been always quick to answer questions and settle the nerves of the new students. Being able to play sport and being part of the extracurricular sporting program has helped my daughter, make friends and feel part of Mount A community. Charmaine seems to be the driving force behind this!

Charmaine's patience, guidance and understanding has been a treasure for the year 7 children and parents who navigate the high school sport environment for the first time. Sam radiates warmth and grace and my daughters have noted how happy and kind she is. Her sincere kindness was felt deeply when my child was upset and Sam comforted her not with words but with her presence, listening ear and kind heart. This gentle manner of sitting with someone in their sadness is a blessing. Mt A is a place of lived Franciscan Spirituality - the gentle and peaceful approach is tangible.
