The fantastic firepit area is located in the back yard. Please bring or gather wood for use. Fires outside of the fire pit are not allowed. After you have enjoyed your time here, please use the outdoor hose to fully extinguish the fire. Water the embers down for 5 minutes to ensure it is fully extinguished and to protect our beautiful forest.

We are on septic. This means there is a pump that services the water including the toilets. It is important that only toilet paper is flushed. Anything else like feminine products, baby wipes, paper towels or even “flushable wipes” are not allowed. This will cause the pump to fail. Pouring cooking grease down the sink is a problem for the septic system. There is a jar in the cabinet that is for pouring grease from cooking. Guest will be responsible for repair if any towels, feminine products, or any other items clog the toilets or sinks.

The weather at this elevation can be unpredictable. Please understand that high winds and snow may cause a power outage. You will find flashlights, candles, plenty of blankets, and batteries have been provided. In case of a power outage we will reach out to you with updates. Georgia Power has a track record of restoring power quickly.
Use caution and low speed when driving on the mountain – especially when rain or fog is present. The City of Sky Valley prepares for ice and snow by salting the roads and then clearing the roads after snowfall. Please use your best judgement when travelling in these conditions.
