Suzanne Fuller, a Sioux Falls native and former Minneapolis Star writer, spent over 40 years as a dedicated community volunteer and ser ved as chair of the OLLI Leadership Council. A great-granddaughter of Dakota Territory pioneers, she researched her family ’s history and authored the award-winning historical fiction book The Girl Who Moved to the Town That Wasn’t There.
Join OLLI’s history project, “The Battles We Won: Local Women’s Stories,” and help preserve the untold stories of women who broke barriers from the 1960s through the 1980s. Participants will have the opportunity to share their personal experiences—how they stood their ground, created change, and shaped the rights women enjoy today. These stories will be archived at the Center for Western Studies at Augustana University, ensuring future generations can learn from your journey. Job Summary: Ensures a safe environment of care is maintained by completing assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility and ensuring the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Education/Experience:
• High school or GED required
• Previous work experience with a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care facility
• Working understanding of physical plant repairs/preventive maintenance and grounds maintenance.
Specific Requirements:
• A valid driver’s license
• Must pass a P.L. 101-630 background check
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Must be able to read, write and speak and understand the English language.

Minimum qualifications:
• Must be 18 years or older
• All positions require a background check to be on file.
• Must have successfully completed your 90-day introductory period in your current position
• One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility a plus.
• Certification in ServSafe preferred.
Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
