Using grasshopper I made a nautilus roof structure that also rose as it spiraled. Lastly I used all of the new curves to loft a surface across the structure which represents the ETFE roof cover.
LARGE SCREEN COVERED TRUSS
The large screen covers a large truss that would help split the structural load across the span in half. This also offers a large viewing screen for any basketball gameday.

This drawing tells the story of where the community comes from and how they come together to watch and support the basketball team when the next basketball championship comes around. It also allows the viewer to extactly pin-point where the structure is in the context of downtown Lawrence and the surrounding vegetation.
