THE PASSAGE OF TIME

Moment of Reflection

As my academic career at KU continues, I’ve looked to where I started and I see how far I’ve come. The first presentation I did in my first semester studio, my hands were shook as I held my model. I had to restart my sentences as my voice wavered and cracked. Despite having rehearsed my concepts, ideas, and thought processes, my mind was filled with uncertainty.

Now, I can say confidently that I’ve made a complete 180. It started with me getting to know my professors and peers, understanding that everyone is here to learn and grow. Of course I’m still going to have anxiety over a presentation here and there, but now I see myself telling a story through my project, guiding the audience through my ideas that came to fruition as model.

As time passed the dread of uncertainty faded and my excitement over learning grew
