For This and Future Generations: Montana’s 1972 Constitutional Convention THURSDAY, APRIL 7 7PM Also 4/8 noon; 4/10 10am; 4/11 2am

In mid-winter 1972, one hundred grassroots delegates and a staff of some of the best and brightest young people under the Big Sky, gathered in Helena for what many would recall as the proudest time of their lives. Their task: to re-write the lumbering, old state constitution. Two months later, every delegate walked down the aisle of the House Chambers and unanimously signed a document that would affect the lives of generations of Montanans to come. This is the story of those 100 delegates and the tumultuous times that ignited their fervor. It is also the story of the 700,000 Montanans who charged the delegates—a group of ranchers and farmers, business people, educators, housewives, attorneys, a beekeeper, a retired librarian, a graduate student and a retired FBI agent—with the challenge of writing a legal foundation for life in the state. Decades later, in a new century, this is the story of their legacy.

Rise of the Nazis: Dictators at War TUESDAYS 8PM begins 4/12

Stalingrad 4/19 8PM

It’s 1942, and Hitler has just lost the Battle of Moscow. Now winter in Russia, German troops are in desperate need of fuel and resources.

The Home Front 4/26 8PM

After Stalingrad, Hitler’s stress intensifies. For once there is no master plan. Hitler leaves it to the men around him to pull Germany back from the abyss. COURTESY OF 72 FILMS

New Series on Montana PBS

Dick and Angel Strawbridge narrate a do-it-yourself series that follows British families who want to purchase or renovate French chateaus. The series features several families as they look to buy a dream home of their own, renovate it, design additions, and prepare to host events. As Dick and Angel look on and offer sage wisdom, some projects prove to be more difficult than ever imagined. Families featured in the series include Johnathan and Michael, who are opening up their chateau to host a wedding for an American couple. However, between facing off with investors and dealing with a sewage problem that threatens the first floor of the house, whether they will be able to host the event is up in the air.

New Season Begins on Montana – PBS CREATE

Legacy List with Matt Paxton SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS 6PM SEASON 3 BEGINS APRIL 3

As baby boomers downsize living spaces and settle estates, THE LEGACY LIST helps homeowners catalog a lifetime of belongings, locating treasured heirlooms and unexpected valuables in the attic, closet, or even under the floorboards. Host Matt Paxton, a nine-season veteran of A&E’s Hoarders, and his team of historians, conservators and experts, help each family sort through a house full of memories.
