ATHENS - ALREADY APPROACHING ANOTHER ERASMUS + STUDENTS EXCHANGE As you can read in our previous newspaper columns since 1st September 2015 Students and teachers of ZSP No. 1 in Barlinek are taking part in the Erasmus + called "We make our dreams come true about education and work in the EU countries." In April of 2016. Dozen of us had the occasion to go to Croatia in the framework of international exchange. The workshops and study visits at universities got to know the needs of labor markets and types of professions in Poland, Croatia and Greece. After the end of the school year on 29th June 2016 Mrs. Marzena Lewandowska, Beata Krycka and Monika Jagiełło-Trif went to Athens to sum up the first year of the project. Coordinators of partner schools and teachers involved in the project have developed a program outline for next youth exchange, scheduled for early November. The term of the exchange is fast approaching. On November 7, 2016 twelve of our students and two tutors will fly to Athens. Our workshops will be devoted to education systems in our countries and types of higher education. The proposed residency program is very interesting, workshops are planned in the form of experiments, meetings with university lecturers and study visits in companies such as wine, oil production factory or in the diving center. We will also have the opportunity to visit the Acropolis. In addition, in order not to be bored and to improve our English, we are to stay in the homes of or peers. This is to help us to integrate with our friends, overcoming the language barrier, as well as to have a regard to the Greek culture and everyday life of families in this country. For this exchange we have prepared a video demonstrating of our country which is a musical journey from Pomerania to the Tatra Mountains, the presentation of folklore in Polish regions, presentation of the Polish education system – which is in English, a dance and some small gifts for the host families. High school students from 2nd Lyceum Vrilissia, Athens have already contacted us, we talk with each other through Facebook or other social media, which is very nice. Still we keep in touch with colleagues from the School of Commerce in Zagreb. Full of excitement we look forward to the next meeting. N.G.
