Animal Ambassadors

Learners will meet some of MODS’ resident animal ambassadors and hear about each animal’s unique behaviors, physical features and survival techniques. Learners will gain a better understanding of these wild creatures and how they are unique from other animals.**

Learners will explore one of the most fascinating chemicals: liquid nitrogen. See how liquid nitrogen affects other materials and chemicals, how clouds form and witness a nitrogen cloud.

Classroom

Fairy Tale Fun

Learners will explore and interact with the classic fairy tale of the Three Little Pigs as they engineer houses using different materials to test their durability against wind forces.

Standards: SC.K.N.1.4, SC.1.N.1.1, SC.2.N.1.1

Space Explorations

Ever wonder why the planets in our solar system are different colors? Learners will explore how gasses, various chemicals, topography and other debris create these differences and then design a papier-mache planet using various colored papers.

Standards: SC.2.P.8.1, SC.2.P.8.2, SC.L.P.9.1

Planetarium Star Lab

Learners will take a journey through the night sky in our portable planetarium and zoom through the galaxy as we look at constellations, planets and beyond. Grades K - 12: 25 learners max.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Star Lab can only be booked for indoor facilities with ceilings 13 feet or higher.
