Creating A Makerspace In Your Classroom

Explore how to create and maintain a classroom Makerspace in our Sprouting STEM Early Childhood Learning Lab. Inspire your young scientist to tinker while learning through play. MODS will provide supplies, the design process, and a few examples of tinkering.

STEM FOR EARLY LEARNERS: CODING

Learn how to bring coding concepts to your early learners by breaking down the fundamental steps of coding. Educators will explore how to teach algorithms, sequencing and coding to young minds. MODS will provide supplies, the teaching process and a few examples of how to bring coding to your classroom.

Free Stem Distance Learning Classes

MODS offers livestream distance learning workshops on BECON-TV (WBEC-TV), a broadcast television station owned and operated by the School Board of Broward County and licensed by the FCC to provide noncommercial educational programming to the south Florida community. This K–12 program is designed to supplement instruction and enhance learners’ experiences.
