ThirdClass – Ms Kiely
Well done on a great year girls! As we reflect back on it, we have many highlights…
Academically, we were busy…learning new concepts and skills, developing our cursive handwriting, learning our multiplication tables, creating books on the iPads, to mention but a few. The arrival of our class Interactive Smart Board in March brought great excitement (especially to Ms Kiely!) and really enhanced our learning experiences. Our time in January with student teacher Ms Balfe gave us wonderful experiences.
In Sport, we had great co-operative fun with Mario, Camogie with Emmet, Tuesday trips to K Leisure for Aquatics, Orienteering during May and lots of sport during June, especially for Active Week which included Sports Day and our Fun Run!

Our class had Spanish lessons with Maestra Aisling, where we learned new words and phrases and enjoyed fun games with her. We had Science Week in January, working as scientists. Many of our class entered their homemade boats for the boat racing challenge- lots of competitive fun! We loved dressing up for Halloween, for the Céilí Mór and for our annual Easter Pa rade. We participated in the Incredible Edibles programme and helped Kathleen with planting in the school garden. We have enjoyed watching our vegetables grow!
There are so many memories to cherish from this year…our trip to the library, canal walks, paired reading, visitors to our classroom, Food Dudes, our school tour to Dublin Zoo…
We had great achievers in our class who excelled individually in many areas- Maith Sibh!
Remember girls, it is who you are that has made our class of 2022-23 so special - kind, thoughtful and determined! Best Wishes for 4th Class!
