SeniorInfants –Mr O’Connor

It’s hard to believe that our year has come to an end, and what a great year it has been! Together we have made wonderful memories and shared laughter and friendship. Here are a few highlights from Senior Infants.
We spent lots of time playing and learning this year during Aistear. We visited the jungle, the garden centre, the doctor’s surgery and many more places. We were treated to a scavenger hunt in our local Naas library. We skipped into January and had such fun throughout the year for PE. Our year was filled with fun art activities that allowed our creativity to shine. We dressed up in our favourite scary costumes for Halloween. We celebrated Christmas in school when Santa came to visit. For Lá Glas we wore gre en and danced in our Céilí to celebrate St. Patrick. At Christmas time, we sang songs in our local church. The boys and girls practiced diligently to ensure a great performance. Our fitness improved all year long as we trained hard for our Fun Run. At East er time, we dressed up and took part in our school parade. We ended our year with a fabulous school tour to the Bog of Allen.
We've had an absolutely fantastic year that I'll cherish in my memories! It has been a joy getting to know each and every one of the boys and girls. It has been amazing to watch their growth in all areas of school life this year. They have brought a bright smile to my face every single morning! I send my best wishes to the boys as they embark on their new journey in St. Corban's and I hope that the girls have a wonderful time in first class here at Mercy Convent.
