Junior Infants – Ms Woulfe

What a remarkable journey we have had in Junior Infants! It has been a fantastic year filled with growth, learning and countless magical moments along the way. From mastering the alphabet and numbers to discovering the thrill of reading t heir first words, the girls’ progress has been nothing short of amazing. Whether it was class performances or school trips, everyone has so much to be proud of!
We were lucky enough to have two special visitors to the school who went by the names of Salt and Pepper. It was fantastic to be able to observe, touch and interact with these animals, certainly creating lasting memories for all.
The visit from local Garda Séamus was another highlight of the year. We had great fun learning about the different jobs in our community. Our whole class even managed to squeeze into the Garda car!
As part of Aistear, our Junior Infants have delved into the magical world of imaginative play. They have donned costumes, assumed various roles and embarked on exciting adventures. From becoming gardeners planting seeds, to becoming chefs whipping up delicious culinary creations, their imagination has known no bounds. Through these activities, they have enhanced their vocabulary, communication, creativity, empathy and problem-solving abilities.
Dress-up days were always undoubtedly one of the most anticipated and cherished events in the Junior Infants’ calendar. From Halloween to St. Patrick’s Day to the Easter Parade, these special occasions offered a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to explore their imagination and express their individuality. Nás na Ríogh Abú!
