Sport

What a brilliant year our 5th and 6th footballers had this year. We started off the season with the Division 1 Under 11 League where the girls went out and overpowered both Scoil Uí Fhiach and Caragh to progress to the semi -final against Kilcullen where they were narrowly defeated in extra time. The girls got back on the training field straight away and prepared for the Mini 7’s where they put in four great performances. Next up was the Division 1 Cumann na mBunscoil competition. The girls had a great start to the competition with two stellar performances and wins over Celbridge and Maynooth. We were defeated by Clane in the third round, but still qualified for the semi -finals where we faced Kilcullen once again. After a very tight game Kilcullen managed to secure the win in the end.

The girls were a pleasure to work with this year. They trained hard, made improvements all round and fought until the end of every game they played. Altho ugh they missed out on the silverware the girls did their coaches, teachers, friends, family and most importantly themselves very proud. A great year was had all round and we are sure the girls enjoyed all the ups and downs along the way. Well done girls!

Camogie

Our very dedicated camogie team trained every Wednesday in all weathers. The girls showed super commitment and enthusiasiasm throughout the year.

We took part in the Division One C Cumann na mBunscol League where we played Scoil Bhríde, Gaelscoil Naas and Sallins NS.

The girls displayed great spirit and skill in every game and they should be very proud of their efforts.

We wish all of our 6th class students the very best in the future.

We look forward to resuming training again in September.
