Maths Week

We put the focus on Maths and mathematical thinking during Maths Week in October. We focused on problem solving and how we can break problems down from words in Maths language and use our thinking skills. We also took Maths out of the class room and used our Maths Eyes to see maths all around us. We noticed shape, colour, number, length, height all around us. Ms Buckley set us some daily puzzles and we tried guess length and weight of different items. We had some great entries to our junior competition “Using my Maths Eyes” and our senior competition “All about Me Maths”. We did maths puzzle on the iPads and even held a whole school Kahoot Quiz. It was good to see Maths all around us and not just as questions in a book.

Christmas Raffle

Our annual Christmas raffle and carol service both got great support from our school community as always. We are grateful to everyone who gave prizes, bought tickets and donated on the night.

We raised almost €4000 for our school.

Here are some of our happy prizewinners in the Christmas grotto!

Christmas Food Appeal

Our hard-working Student Council pictured with just some of the food donations that our wonderful pupils donated to Naas Point.

This year we were delighted to see our school choir return! The choir was made up of girls from 4 class under the guidance of Ms MacNerney and Ms Donnan. The girls provided wonderful entertainment on the 24 of May when they participated in a beautiful end of year recital for their parents in the Luisne Gardens. They were then invited to sing for Minister Mary Butler in McAuley Pla which was very exciting! very exciting!
