Kindness/ Friendship/ Anti -Bullying Week

This year we combined Kindness week with Friendship and Antibullying for a week where we reminded ourselves that we must be respectful towards each other and always look out for one another. We had a different theme each day for the week.

The first theme was Random Acts of Kindness. We picked some acts of kindness we could do to show our classmates we care. On day two we reminded ourselves how we can be a Good Friend and how we should treat each other fairly.

The theme for day three was Who would you Tell? Through this theme we encouraged the children to think about their trusted five. These are five people they could tell is they were being bullied or felt unsafe

Our tree of kindness was covered with leaves on which the children had written ways in which they could be kind.

We also had a visit from Garda Séamus and Garda Neil who spoke to us about cyber bullying and how it can be very hurtful.

Thanks to Ms Clifford for organising an art competition during the week. We received some amazing entries.

Well done for the pa rticipation and enthusiasm during the week. We learned some very important lessons. Ms Buckley would like to thank the Well-Being committee for all their help in organising the week and for all their support during the year.
