Picture a large canvas. One that is completely blank. Two young people in front of it have brushes in their hands. The room is full yet silent. The crowd is behind them. All waiting to see what is going to happen.
The pair cast a glance at the cans laden with paint at their feet. They exchange a look of complicity before choosing their colors. They lay their brushes on the ground and close their eyes. The couple sink their hands into the cans of paint and begin painting with instinctive and free movements—in a way no one in the room has seen before.
They continuously change the colors and shapes on the canvas following no traditional approach. The two artists smile as if they have been waiting their entire lives to experience this moment of creative freedom.
Their creation evokes the journeys they have taken together. From Italy to the United States to Japan and back. Their strokes retracing each mile they have traveled. Their art is the result of constant research and influences-and of passion. Together they express their
authentic selves through creation. Their journey of love imbued in the paint on that rough canvas. They have invented a unique artistic language. A creole experience of perfect imperfection. That dream began back in 2000 in a garageturned-office in the industrial town of Marghera near Venice.
After that magical moment, all they were missing was the right name. A name that would capture their timeless and universal intentions. They finally landed on that most famous fable of Aesop: The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs. Through that short, universal tale, world renowned for its authenticity, the name of this story was finally chosen. So began Golden Goose. That blank canvas now covered in color reflects our foundations even today.
Being different. Thinking outside the box. Like Aesop’s fable, our message has grown and spread all over the world. The “they” of the story has become “we”; and we have become a family.
