West Bromwich-Urban Greening
The Urban Greening project will deliver anumber of initiatives over afiveyear programme, to enhance the existing greenspace and improve the appearance of the town centre. The first set of improvement works started in August and have now completed. Work undertaken so far includes: removal of the outdoor marketstalls and repairs to paving as well as the restoration of both the Farley Fountain and the Dartmouth Clock Tower.Four new seating structures (parklets) have been installed and new trees have been planted in the town centre.
The Digital Den project at Wood Lane Community Centrewas officially opened in August 2022. The investment has provided an improved training room with new computers, new laptops, furnitureand interactive screens as well as upgraded and refurbished hospitality facilities. Digital skills educational classes have already started.

WednesburyHSHAZupdate
In the Wednesbury High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ)project, the majority of the works arecomplete on the markets, the public realm and Clock Tower refurbishment.New trees will be planted and street lighting changed imminently


The council is still working with anumber of properties on the Historic Building Renovation programme to assist in reinstating some of the historic features. The cultural programme and community engagement continues with arecent lantern procession for the Christmas lights switch-on event
Astudy is also under way looking at the potential expansion of the Conservation Area which should be completed in 2023.
Rowley Regis -Canal NetworkConnectivity

Workscommenced on the Canal Network Connectivity project in October 2022 and will be completed in Spring 2023. The project will deliver 7km of resurfacing for canal towpaths alongside the Dudley No. 2inOld Hill and the Old Main Line in Oldbury
Smethwick -Ron Davis Centre Expansion

Workscommenced on the Ron Davis CentreExpansion project in October 2022 and the extension that will deliver two new classrooms is due to be completed in Spring 2023. The investment will allow Sandwell Adult and Family Learning Services to expand the services it already offers, and allow local people access to modernlearning facilities, digital courses and the chance to obtain valuable qualifications.
