Celebratingour best ever GCSEresults

Topachievers at Beacon Hill Academy were Lucy Burchellwho gainedsix Grade 9s, aD2* and oneGrade 8, TomassJereminovics with twoGrade9s, twoGrade 8s,three Grade 7s anda Grade6,and Reela Mohammad with two Grade9s, one Grade 8, threeGrade7s, aD2* andaMerit2.Caitlin Taylorand Helen Lewis also excelled.

Principal Sukhjot Dhami said, “I am proud to announce that, basedonour preliminary �gures, we have achieved increased progress for our learners for the fourth year in arow.This is testamenttothe hardworkand commitment ofall the learners, staff andparents/carers These results,secured during turbulent times, areexceptional and showcase the high-quality educationavailable at Beacon HillAcademy,which is on track to make many moreyears of progress.

This was the �fth year of improved GCSE results for PegasusAcademy.Topachievers were Sameer Qureshiwith threeGrade 9s, four Grade 8s andaGrade 7, and Hana MehagerwithfourGrade 9s,two Grade8s, one Grade7 andaD2.

Andy Landers, Principal,said, “I am delighted to announce �ve years of improved exam results. These areamassiveleap forwardfromthe last time that exams wereexternally marked in 2019 and from the results of last year. PegasusAcademy is undoubtedly one of the fastest improving schools in Dudley.Our results in Englishand Mathematics again showedgreat progress and yet again our learners excelled inArt &Design and their othercoresubjects and options. Pegasus learners leave school with higher levels of achievement thanwhen they joined.

Principal Emma Edwards-Morgan said, “Alreadythisyear,the academy has been judgedtobe‘Good’ by Ofsted,two grades higher than previously.Now we have an exceptionalset of GCSEresults with agreat leap forwardinthe achievement level of our learnersfor thefourth yearrunning The progress made by our learnersisnow among thevery best in Dudley andthisschool willcontinuetoimprove year on year.

YamaAdamsofStJamesAcademy collected aGrade 9, three Grade8s, a7and a6 Dayan Boutou, Xue-Ni He,Abdul Saeed, Hameed Attayee, EthanWood alsoachieved aGrade 9and therewas amultitudeofother strong results.

Principal, Ian Moore, said, “Once again, our learners have turned in astrongset of results which re�ectthe improvements made across the academy.Preliminary �gures indicate that St James learners areleaving school with higherlevels of achievement than whenthey joined, which should signi�cantly improveour position in theschools league tables. It was adelight to see allofthe happy faces in the results hall.These results illustrate the resilience and matureattitudeofour learners, who areacredit to themselves, theirfamilies and St James.Their grades will give themthe life chances that they deserve.”
