For this project I have created a brand called Oliva, which is a sustainable and conscious fashion brand focusing on minimal contemporary styles with a Scandinavian touch. The brand aims to create timeless pieces through taking classic items and bringing modern and sleek changes. This will allow the brand to produce collections rather than seasonal releases to allow for greater sustainability as the items can be worn year round meaning that there isn’t constantly more and more clothing being produced using up valuable resources. The focus on being sustainable and environmentally conscious derives from the issue brought about by fast fashion which has a negative impact on the environment as well as in societies where it is produced. By developing a conscious brand, I aim to combat these issues through collections being produced in limited quantities and only potentially being restocked if the demand is clear in order to minimise waste and end the practice of discarding stock that can't be sold.
