Anchoring the Performing Arts NEW MUSIC BUILDING The new Music Building will be a state-of-the-art facility including rehearsal and recital halls with superb acoustics to meet the specialized needs for ensembles including traditional band, choral jazz, mariachi, salsa, opera, and orchestra. The new building will provide a collaborative learning environment to match our nationally recognized artistic and educational reputation.
Texas State is inviting patrons of the arts to invest in our capacity to educate the next generation of accomplished musical artists and music educators. With $40 million already committed in funding, Texas State is seeking to raise the additional $40 million needed for the building through philanthropic funds. Spaces throughout the facility will be named in perpetuity to recognize the generosity of the donors whose gifts make this innovative educational and performance facility possible.

The School of Music offers performances and scholarly events of the highest quality to serve university, public, and professional communities. When complete, the Music Building will serve nearly 600 music majors and 80+ faculty who are currently spread across five buildings. The new Music Building will consolidate musical activities into a synergistic atmosphere of shared endeavors providing an exceptional learning environment to match our artistic and educational future.
