FOUNDATION REPORT “Alone we can do so little: Together we can do so much.” Helen Keller In 2015, the MLC Foundation and the MLC community have achieved much. We have collaborated through the Circle of Success to deliver the transformation of the Yvonne Palmer Biological Sciences Laboratory, and the Foundation has been pleased to assist the Friends of Music with the Grand Legacy. Likewise we have been delighted to work more closely with Parents of MLC to acknowledge the full scope of the philanthropic spirit of MLC. We have forged partnerships with individuals within our community, which have produced outstanding results for our girls: the now completed Boarding House Transformation, the upgrade of the Hadley Hall audio visual system, support for Rowing, scholarships and for the Foundation Building Fund. The Foundation Future Levy builds the Endowment Fund as an enduring source of income for the College, and our work with our external partners, Shell and the SAS Resources Fund, continues to benefit our scholarship programme. We look forward to furthering all these relationships, and establishing new ones, in 2016. The Foundation remains committed to our objectives to: •
Support the development of a culture of philanthropy at MLC;

Create an intergenerational source of independent income;
•
Support and sustain uninterrupted philanthropic programmes;
•
Aspire to contribute $1,000,000 for annual spending to the
•
Receive $1,000,000 in donated funding annually within 3 years; and, College by 2020.
This strategy is based on building a College community eager to provide financial support, or other skills to support MLC, according to their capacity. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all contributors to the MLC Foundation in 2015; those who donated to our funds so generously and those who gave of their time and expertise.
