How much is enough? The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that adults aim for the following physical activity each week to maintain optimal health benefits: At least 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity activity, such as brisk walking, or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, such as running. At least two days a week of muscle-strengthening activities that involve all major muscle groups. Move Your Way There are a lot of ways to get the physical activity you need. Any aerobic activity counts, as long as it’s done at a moderate or vigorous intensity. That means you can combine fitness with other goals to reap even more
