TRUE ROMANCE
After the dark attitudes and apocalyptic visions seen on the catwalk in recent seasons, it was refreshing to see a return to lightness and more positive emotions for Spring-Summer 2020. The first women’s collections of the new decade reflected more than a certain femininity, and a return to the aesthetics and values of long-gone eras such as the Belle Époque. At last, romance is back in fashion! And not just the pastel shades and flowing shapes: the SKP Magazine team saw an obvious connection with the viewpoint of the Romantics, artists, poets and philosophers of the late 18th and early 19th Century, who turned to nature as a source of inspiration to create works driven by emotion and feeling.
