What we are doing •

We have increased LPG vans to approx. 15% of the fleet and have placed advanced orders. This will reduce the carbon footprint by estimated 8 tonnes per van.

Use of vehicle tracking to find the nearest technician to a call out to reduce fuel usage

Due to increased density of work we have increased the number of “footmen”, electric scooters and electric bicycles in city centres

Reducing the use or rodenticides in favour of use of non toxic traps for rodent control.

Developing alternative works specifications to withdraw all proactive use of toxic baits and implement non toxic means of monitoring/early warning systems

Reviewing sites on contract to identify where problems are under control and treatment frequency can be reduced

Archie / Thermal Imaging – using non toxic methods of identifying rodent infestations

I have no hesitation in recommending the managed contract pest control services of MITIE to any commercial organisation that is serious about pest control. Peter Ford, Risk Management Director, Odeon Cinemas
