WHAT’S NEW IN 2015— SOLAR INITIATIVE: It’s hard not to miss the new 6KW solar array just to the west of the Main Stage. Blissfest teamed up with Leelanau Solar to build the new array that will power most of the Festival over a year of credits that the panels will put back into the power grid. MICHIGAN STAGE: This new solar powered venue will feature all Michigan artists. We are pleased to offer more opportunities for the great depth of artistry in the Michigan roots music scene. The stage is conveniently located near the Back 40 campground entrance on the south side of the property. LUTHIERS TENT: Instrument builders from Quinn’s Music in Big Rapids, Andy Kirby and Budd Greenman, along with fellow luthier Warren Liverance from Grosse Pointe Strings, will be at the tent to share their instrument knowledge, consult or repair instruments in need. They also have basic musician supplies. Quinn’s Music along with Chris Myers from Petoskey will host sessions for making your own cigar box guitars at the tent. Cost for the make-and-take kit: $25-30. BLISSTERFOOT FUN RUN: Get some fresh oxygen in your blood with 5K of pure Bliss. Join us to test your mettle or to just have a nice morning jog. Run, laugh breathe, meet new friends—plus prizes and who knows what else! Meet at the Bus Stop 9:00 am Sunday. CHARGING STATIONS: We have established charging stations for your personal electronic devices at many of the workshop venues and other gathering places around the Festival grounds. Check the map for the charging symbol. UKULELE CLUB ORCHESTRA: Those with some basic ukulele skills are invited to join the community chorus and perform on Main Stage during the community sharing. Rehearse Sunday morning at Club Bliss. CLUB BLISS DOME: The new dome structure near Club Bliss will have healing vibrations going down all weekend as well as some acoustic jam sessions. Look for specifics at Club Bliss and on the schedule page— Tibetan bowls with Tiffany Lenau, inspirational music from Christie and Kristin, Benny Bettaine on Handpan, plus Matt and Julie Briest from the Compassionate Wellness Center in Clawson, MI.
