William Carey University has a proud Christcentered heritage and a growing reputation for excellence in both faith and athletics.

Our student-athletes embody these values daily. As of May 1st 2025, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings place the women’s team second and the men’s team 13 in the NAIA. In addition to top rankings, these students posted the highest team GPA on campus— demonstrating that athletic excellence and academics go hand-in-hand at Carey.
WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE AN OPPORTUNITY TO INVEST IN A NEW TENNIS FACILITY ON OUR HATTIESBURG CAMPUS. THIS MODERN FACILITY WILL INCLUDE:
• Locker Rooms to build team unity and create space for prayer and fellowship.
• Film Room & Strategy Center for match review and athlete development.
• Observation Deck overlooking the courts for spectating, coaching and quiet reflection.
This facility will serve as a vital hub for our men’s and women’s tennis programs and enhance the holistic student-athlete experience at Carey.
