$38/Hour Agriculture The Agriculture program at Bay College develops knowledge through intensive, practical learning, becoming prepared for today’s high technology agricultural operations. The program provides students with a solid background in plant and soil science, precision agriculture, water management, entomology, plant pathology and business management. Bay College partners with Michigan State University to offer regionally relevant training programs for careers in some of Michigan’s highest demand industries. Students will benefit from concurrent enrollment at both institutions with all courses delivered at the Escanaba campus. This partnership allows students to earn an associate degree from Bay College and a certificate from the Michigan State University Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT). Full-time students complete an associate degree and certificate in just two years and financial aid is available through Michigan State University to help with the tuition expenses at both schools.

$35-$40K/Year Allied Health: EMT/Paramedic The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate program provides education extending beyond the Basic EMT minimum requirements. The Paramedic program at Bay College prepares entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains of pre-hospital emergency medicine, with or without exit points at the Basic EMT level. State-of-the-art simulation labs and technology are utilized at the Escanaba campus. Simulation provides opportunities for students to practice skills in a risk-free simulated environment, learn correct interventions promoting appropriate decision-making, and competency of skills that students can use to improve learning in the clinical environment.

$40-$45K/Year Allied Health: MRI Technology The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology program at Bay College prepares students to enter the career of medical imaging as a magnetic resonance imaging technologist. The program includes a rigorous curriculum of classroom, lab, and clinical education experiences in the Medical Imaging departments of hospitals and other health care facilitates, preparing the student for success on the national certification exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). MRI students obtain entry-level technological positions like MRI technologist, nuclear medicine technologists, and radiologist technologist.

Allied Health: Nursing, CNA & CMA Bay College’s Allied Health programs include classroom study, patient care labs with simulation, and supervised clinical practice in healthcare facilities around the region. The Nursing programs are designed to promote career mobility and offer qualified students alternative educational tracks according to their career goals. The curriculum is designed to assist students to think critically as they apply scientific, theoretical, and practical knowledge to clinical situations in a variety of health care settings. Medical Assistants are multi-skilled health professionals that work under the direction of practitioners in ambulatory settings such as medical offices and clinics. Medical assistants are part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare delivery team and perform administrative duties and assist with clinical procedures. Bay’s Nurse Aide training program prepares students to work in nursing assistant positions in both Michigan and Wisconsin. Well, a career in automotive may be your thing. Bay College’s Automotive Program will teach you how to diagnose, repair and maintain the systems of modern automobiles. Training includes working on vehicles in modern service bays using the most up-to-date diagnostic and repair equipment available. This program is certified by ASE under the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. $38-$58K/Year Computer Network Systems & Security (CNSS) Computer Network Systems and Security curriculum prepares graduates in computer operating systems, network infrastructure and devices (routers and switches), server management (Windows and Linux), managing data and people, and all aspects of cybersecurity (system, network, human, and Internet). Students are prepared and encouraged to earn as many as nine IT industry certifications, including the Microsoft Technology Associate certifications taken right in the classroom. The two-year Forest Technology program can make this dream a reality with a curriculum that is designed to develop the next generation of forest stewards. This program provides students with the competencies and technical skills necessary to sustainably manage forested systems in Michigan and beyond. Computer and mobile application-based tools such as spatial analysis, 3D mapping, and geovisualization make this career both engaging and challenging. $25/Hour Mechatronics & Robotics Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field involving mechanical, electronic, computer, robotic, and control systems. It is present in any automated system, from HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) systems to robotic assembly lines. This program is designed to give students the basic technical knowledge and skills needed to install, repair, and maintain electromechanical, fluid power, and process control systems. Persons who complete degree requirements and gain appropriate work experience may qualify to progress through certification to the highest grade licensure in municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment. $21/Hour Welding The Welding Certificate program at Bay College provides students with specialized classroom and hands on shop training. Students receive hundreds of hours of welding experience using multiple welding processes such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). Furthermore, during their time in the program, students may have the opportunity to take several welder performance qualification tests in accordance with American Welding Society (AWS) codes. Earning a Welding Certificate from Bay College is not only a testament to the graduate’s welding skill, but also their knowledge of materials, blue print reading, fabrication, and welding equipment.
