Educating the World: One Girl at a Time

I want to live in a world where every girl chooses her own future. Currently, over 130 million girls worldwide are not attending school. My CSI is an advocacy for their right to a formal education and provide the necessary resources for girls to succeed. When we are supporting girl’s education, we are supporting the overall proposition of growth and progress.

WHAT DOES SISTERHOOD MEAN TO YOU?

At only 9 years old MAO introduced me to the pillars that would shape my values, and provided me with a network of girls who would hold them with me. There is something special about our shared experience, as we’re now young women making our way in the world. Growing up our role models were titleholders within MAO, who taught us how to be fearlessly authentic, beautifully bold, and to act with a servant’s heart.

WHAT DOES SCHOLARSHIP MEAN TO YOU?

From the local level to Miss America herself, we are encouraged to further our professional development through the continuation of higher education. What sets the MAO brand apart is the reward of scholarships, and the celebration of the contestants’ intellect. Our phases of competition are designed to showcase our intelligence and professionalism, and MAO heavily supports our hard work as the world’s largest provider of scholarships for young women.
