Using prosocial activities and skills, community members and students learn to become further involved. I encourage community members to get out more in the community and involve themselves in the local schools such as volunteering with them and attending ball games with them. Students are encouraged to participate in more sports, clubs and concurrent enrollment classes. In assemblies, we talk about stereotypes, and learning how we each add to the world around us.

WHAT DOES SUCCESS MEAN TO YOU?

Success is the group that carries you, as your support system. It is the group that comforts you when you are down, and the people that are right there behind you as you walk across the stage of life. They are the behind the scenes workers. Success is a group goal that comes out of love for somebody.

WHAT DOES SISTERHOOD MEAN TO YOU?

Sisterhood is the adopted family and support that comes through the organization. It’s the backing of successful, driven women who want to see you succeed. It’s the life long friendships that form within the organization. It’s the love and sympathy that comes out as we experience similar phases of life.

(She).E.O. - Investing in the Next Generation of Female Business Leaders

As a business owner, I strive to use my influence to empower other aspiring business leaders. My quarterly seminars help make resources available to local women by connecting them with leading female run businesses. My goals have proven successful as I help women form valuable connections, network with panelists, and begin their entrepreneurial journey. Each day I learn something new about the complex world of business that I am excited to share with others.

WHAT DOES SCHOLARSHIP MEAN TO YOU?

The future has much uncertainty but the scholarships I’ve earned in the MAO helps make my future plans more certain. I’m proud to be a part of an organization that so heavily focuses on their scholarship efforts to make higher education possible for many women. I am grateful for the scholarship assistance I’ve received, helping to lock in my future goal of receiving a Master’s of Business Administration and making my dreams of owning and developing other businesses a reality.
