2023 LOCAL VOLUNTEER AWARD PAT POCE

Patrick Poce’s involvement in the Miss America Organization spans nearly 50 years. He is a seasoned panelist who has judged numerous local competitions and has been part of the Miss Weber County Organization for 23 years. Pat became an advising mmber of the Miss We ber County board in 2000 and has served as the local executive direc tor of the Miss Weber County Competition since 2010.

Pat is proud to be part of an organization that gives young women the opportnity to expand their talents and further their education. In Pat’s words, he loves “being part of the growth of young women and their passion to achieve greater goals, and possibly a future of their perfections.” Through his years as director, several Miss Weber County titleholders have won preliminary awards and placed in the Top 10 and Top 5 at the Miss Utah Competition. Pat works year-round to promote the Miss Weber County program, and he and his board continuously work to champion for new sponsorships and scholarships for Miss Weber County.

Pat genuinely cares about his community and is involved in many local organizations and events. He has owned and operated two flower shops and has served as a mentor to many young people through professional relationships. he currently directs the Eccles Art Center and continues to inspire young artists.

“I have never met an individual as dedicated to community service as Pat is. With a plethora of his own responsibilities to focus on, he always takes the time to help others.”

Pat’s influence reaches far across the state. He is a true steward of the Miss America Organization’s mission of empowering women to lead, and the Miss Utah Scholarship Organization is honored to recognize him with the 2023 Local Volunteer Award.
