West Hosts National Fencing Tournament
T
he MAC hosted a national fencing tournament for the first time at the West Clubhouse. The Fencers Academy Super Youth Circuit was held over two days. Youth fencers of various age groups from all over the country fenced in a variety of divisions. There was a great crowd gathered on the tennis courts and in the multi-sport facility to catch the action. The top eight fencers in each division were awarded with medals. If you are interested in participating in fencing at the MAC, contact Coach Hassan at 314.494.0697 or hossam. hassan@sbcglobal.net

Racquetball Recap
By: Dave Schwent, Racquetball Pro he Club Championship will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to noon. Contact Dave Schwent at 314-220-7275 if you are interested. Come join the Handicapped Tuesday Night League. This league is a great bunch of guys, and all levels are welcome. Handicaps will adjust as one ends and the next begins. The handicapped has increased the intensity, which in the end helps us all to get in better shape. Try to book your racquetball court times farther in advance, if possible. We have several high schools playing their matches on three courts from 3:30-5 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. We have 22 high schools participating, which is giving the MAC some great exposure with the hope that the kids involved will someday become members. If you are looking to play in racquetball tournaments around town, our next tournament is the “Holiday Charity Classic at Concord Vetta Sports Complex on Saturday, Dec. 17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Contact Dave Schwent at 314-220-7275 if you are interested.
