Murphy Scholarship The namesake of the program, John Murphy, was a supporter of FSA in many ways: as an active member with food manufacturer Bordon Foods and then once he retired in 1995, serving as the Executive Director of FSA for 14 years. His impact and contributions to the organization included being the voice and visionary of FSA, serving as an ambassador for the food industry, facilitating the combining of the rail/3PL and motor carrier conferences in 1997, and advancing the mission and values of FSA as an educational resource that drives change in the industry.
