Grand Rapids Remodel Grand Rapids and Melvindale Plant Manager Kevin Bodner is running point on the exciting renovation happening at the Grand Rapids office. We interviewed him to get the inside scoop on the project details, and here is what he had to say. 1. What are the plans for the upper level remodel? • The plan is to increase the amount of workspace and create four private offices. 2. How many new workspaces will be added? • Once the remodel is complete, the upper level will have 28 workstations total, including 14 new workspaces. 3. When will the project be complete? • We set a 16-week timeline to complete the entire project, which would wrap up early to mid-January of 2018. The remodel will be completed in three phases: o Phase 1: The small training room converted into workstations. o Phase 2: The accounting department space remodeled into four private offices. o Phase 3: The IT department space remodeled to add additional workstations. 4. Are the contractors on schedule to hit the target date? • The project started slow due to some unforeseen challenges, but it is now on track. 5. Are there any other details you want to share with everyone regarding the remodel? • We are adding windows on the north wall for natural light in the new offices. The SWAG closet is being updated to have its own access door from outside the office space, and a custom shelving system to maximize storage. Remodels are not easy and unexpected things are bound to happen. We are working to complete the renovation as quickly as possible with minimal disruption to the team, but please have patience! Thank you in advance for your tolerance with this project! *Click here to view the new upstairs floor plan.
