Mill Steel Holiday Giving

2 Associate Highlight: Nicholas Gagnon

“The holiday season is a perfect time to reflect on our blessings and seek out ways to make life better for those around us.” In the midst of this holiday season, and with a new year quickly approaching, we would like to take the opportunity to reflect upon the needs of those less fortunate. Mill Steel is happy to continue the tradition of donating to make this season a little brighter for countless people who are hungry, homeless, or hurting. We admire each of the agencies we contribute to for their dedication and commitment to those in need. We will continue to support Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank, in Grand Rapids Michigan and Gleaners Community Food Bank in Detroit, Michigan. In Canada, we will help sponsor The Downtown Mission located in Windsor. We will also sponsor the Jimmie Hale Mission in Birmingham, Alabama. We will support Home of the Innocents in the Jeffersonville, Indiana area and contribute to Second Harvest Food Bank in Muncie, Indiana as well. With this year’s addition of our Houston, Texas facility, we will contribute to the Houston Food Bank in Houston, Texas.

NORMS

Mill Steel has generously committed to sponsoring one family, as well as five children and young adults from the D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s family assistance programs and their foster care program. With the money raised from the snack bin in the Grand Rapids office break room and the generous gifts that have already been donated from many of you, we are well on our way to fulfilling each child’s and young adult’s wish list. Without the incredible participation from the Mill Steel family, and the charitable efforts inspired by our ownership, these philanthropic efforts would not be possible. A sincere thank you to everyone who’s participated in any of the fundraising initiatives Mill Steel has supported this year. The impact we have made in 2017 is substantial due to your support. Thank you! Looking ahead: We are excited to announce in our January edition Recoiler the three charities that our Grand Rapids employees have voted on to fundraise for and support in the year 2018!
