2016 GOLF FOR KIDS’ SAKE & GOLF CLINIC On July 11th, not even poor weather could keep business partners, friends, and as sociates alike from gathering at Blythefield Country Club for Mill Steel’s 20th Anni versary Golf For Kids’ Sake event! Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from Martha Boks, Big Brothers Big Sisters Program Manager, about the Bigs In Business workplace mentorship program Mill Steel piloted earlier this year. Material Applications Man ager, Sam Wilkening, who was a Big Brother in the BIB program took the opportunity to share his positive experience of being a mentor. Lastly, David was presented an additional check for $6,000 that was contributed by Mill Steel’s associates. With the help of generous donors, this year ’s event raised over $156,000, which means Mill Steel has passed the $2 million mark in funds raised since its partnership with D.A. Blodgett – St. John’s! Thank you to everyone that contributed and helped make the event a success! In conjunction with the Golf For Kids’ Sake event, Mill Steel hosted a Golf Clinic for eight Big Brothers Big Sisters matches on Saturday, June 25th. The group had some lessons from the Blythefield golf pros, Juan Martinez and John Seltzer, then took to the driving and putting ranges for some practice.
