Where are you from and who makes up your family?

What is your role here Mill Steel?

My role at Mill Steel is the second shift supervisor at the Grand Rapids Plant. I have had many different roles at Mill Steel over the years such as shipping, receiving, pack line, quality, maintenance, setup and operating the 72” and 54” slitters. I have been with Mill Steel since March 2011, with a year break where I managed a USDA inspected slaughterhouse

I come from a farming background and I still have a family farm in Northern Illinois, where I grew up Before Mill Steel, I managed hog farms in both Northern Illinois and Southern Indiana. My family consists of my wife Brittney and our children: our son Austin (14), our daughter Autumn (7), and youngest son Joseph (11 months).

What is your favorite way to spend your weekends?

In my free time, I like to go hunting and fishing with my wife and kids.

Is there a charitable cause you support, and why?

Two charitable causes that I support have always been my local church and the local FFA 4-H Club.

Do you have a favorite family tradition?

My favorite family tradition is deer hunting on the family farm with my dad and grandfather.

What do you like best about your job? What is the biggest challenge? What I like best about my role at Mill Steel is the atmosphere in the Grand Rapids plant. I believe that there isn’t a challenge that we cannot face together as a team.
