This is a full time position. The person will work closely with our applications team to minimize losses, while learning steel defects and engineering specifications for steel. Review and manage supplier claims and internal process inventory quality.
Monitor scrap and tracking inventory issues.
Assist customers with claims and rejected material to minimize loss and customer disruption.
Assist with automotive PPAPs and environmental and regulatory requirements documentation.
Manage continual improvement projects.
Facilitate robust corrective action plans.
Assist metallurgists as needed.
Qualifications: Degree in 4-year Engineering program or similar. Must be extremely organized and detail oriented. Must have strong written, verbal, and people skills. Demonstrate the ability to condense technical material into easy to understand information. Must be able to read and understand technical documents (automotive engineering specifications).
