2018 Recap & Outreach Plans for 2019 We are fortunate to work for a company that values giving back to the community and provides its associates opportunities to make a difference. Additionally, we’re fortunate to have a voice in which organizations receive Mill Steel’s support. This past year was jam packed with friendly competitions and events that were not only fun, but more importantly, helped our team raise $224,528 for four very deserving organizations! To recap, we’ve listed the four charities below and the amount raised for each organization throughout this past year. 2018's Community Outreach Impact:

Q1: Helen DeVos Children's Hospital - $2,718 Q2: Alzheimer's Association Greater Michigan Chapter - $4,672 Q3: D.A. Blodgett - St. John's - $216,638 Q4: Operation Injured Soldiers - $500 The votes are in and the four charities selected to support in 2019 are listed below. We will continue the Fun for Fundraising events held at the luncheons and fundraising projects throughout the year to raise money for each. Stay tuned for a detailed Community Outreach Calendar, which will be emailed from the Recoiler within the next few weeks, to see what exciting events we have in store for 2019. Thank you again for your generous support during 2018 and we look forward to another year full of giving! Q1: Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Mission: Philanthropy helps make it possible for us to launch, expand and sustain important programs and services. Donations to the foundation help save lives and advance the health and well-being of our young patients and their families.

Q2: Alzheimer's Association Greater Michigan Chapter Mission: The Alzheimer's Association advances research to end Alzheimer's and dementia while enhancing care for those living with the disease.

Q3: D.A. Blodgett - St. John's Mission: Helping children and empowering families by providing safety, advocacy and support.

Q4: Wounded Warriors Project Mission: To honor and empower Wounded Warriors. Our vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. Article by: Amanda Allspach
