Trick-or-treat hours Trick-or-treating will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at Langley Air Force Base housing and Bethel Manor. There will be additional security forces patrols in the housing areas during this time.
Emergency Control Center relocated The 633rd Security Forces Squadron Emergency Control Center (ECC) has moved from the fire department in bldg. 367 to the Base Defense Operation Center at Herron Hall, bldg. 355. For more information, call 764-5091.
Jiu Jitsu classes Jiu Jitsu classes are offered at the Air Combat Command Fitness Center from 11 a.m. to noon and from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., each Monday and Friday. The classes are part of a 10-lesson program where individuals are taught how to defend against attacks ranging from hair grabbing to being pinned to the ground. Those interested can start the program in any class without previous experience. For more information, call 764-5791.

Langley’s Got Talent Langley’s Got Talent will start at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Langley base theater. The event will offer military members, Department of Defense civilian, retirees and their families an opportunity to showcase their talents. Entry and admission is free and trophies will be awarded in 14 categories, including prizes for number one show stopper and most unique performance. The Langley Chapel will hold its Awana Program every Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. through May 14, 2014 at the Langley Bethel Family Housing Youth Center at Langley Air Force Base. The Armed Services Blood Program Blood Drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 26 in the Langley Chapel Annex. Whole blood donors can donate every 57 days. The Joint Base Langley-Eustis Commander’s Cup golf tournament will take place at noon Oct. 18 at the Eaglewood Golf Course. Mary Matthews Scholarship
Soul food night
The Langley Chiefs Group is accepting applications for the Mary Matthews Scholarship Fund. Active-duty Langley Airmen in the ranks of airman basic through technical sergeant pursuing a college degree can apply. Four $300 scholarships will be presented on Nov. 14. Langley Saddle Club vacancies The Langley Saddle Club, located by the Education Center across from the nature boardwalk, has a few vacancies and is still accepting applications for new members. While the Saddle Club is not affiliated with the Department of Defense, membership is open to active duty, retirees and civilians of all branches. Members will be given 10x10 lighted horse stalls with full-time feeders. Members will also get a tack room for storage, on-site trailer parking, access to the clubhouse and more.
