The training provided at HTC ABo Korkas is up-to-date and customized for small groups. The formula is to combine theory and practice in the school itself and to finally complete the training with a practical Internship in a hotel. This Internship will be one more subject of the curriculum and it will facilitate the adaptation of students to the job market.

The HTC Abo Korkas classrooms have modern equipment that will allow them to offer the best training. Theory classrooms and the computer room, have new furniture and equipment. Likewise, the building has been outfitted with spaces for practices such as: a professional kitchen, a buffet and á la carte restaurant, a cafeteria, model hotel rooms and laundry.

WHAT IS HTC ABO KORKAS? The Hotel Training Centre Abo Korkas, is the training centre of reference for the hotel field in Upper Egypt. The centre has been designed as a result of an agreement between the governments of Egypt and Spain, whereby Spain through the AECID (Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation) gives the necessary funds for the construction and the launch of the hospitality school. HTC Abo Korkas also boasts of the involvement of local entities such as the AUEED (Association of Upper Egypt for Education and Development). The Association was established in 1940, and leads education and development initiatives in four main zones of Upper Egypt: El Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, and Luxor. The ETF (Egyptian Tourism Federation) seeks to establish the ultimate environment for sustainable growth of Egypt’s tourism industry and enhance its workforce to the highest international standards through a close cooperation with its five affiliate associations and the Ministry of Tourism. The Centro Superior de Hostelería de Galicia (CSHG -Hotel Business School of Galicia - Spain), an internationally recognized centre, has advised on the design, monitoring and implementation of the entire project HTC Abo Korkas since its inception, giving it a strong international projection.
