Memorial Day Holy Trinity Hosts Blood Drive
Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Social Action Committ ee will sponsor a blood drive in Keota on Wed., May 20 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Parish Center.
Keota Pool Opens May 23
The Keota Community Swimming Pool will be open to the public on Saturday, May 30.
Wilson Library Closed Memorial Weekend
The Wilson Memorial Library will be CLOSED Saturday, May 23, and Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
Mission Madness at Bethel Church
A lunch and auction will take place at Bethel United Methodist Church on Sat., May 30. Lunch begins at 11 a.m. followed by the auction at 1 p.m.

edition of The Keota Eagle. Established as a national holiday in 1868 by John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, Memorial Day is a day to pay tribute to those who died serving our
country. The goal of the holiday is to bring Americans together to pause, remember and honor those who have given their lives in service for our freedoms.

Ladies’ Night Out Sip & Shop
Sat., May 30, there will be a “Ladies’ Night Out Sip and Shop” held at Delta Neighbors at 104 N. Center in Delta at 6 p.m.
Keota Education Foundation Golf Tourney, June 7
Sunday, June 7, marks the 16th Annual Keota Education Foundation (KEF) Golf Fundraiser at Lagos Acres at 11 a.m. Donations welcome.
Keota Fun Run June 13
The Keota Fun Run (KFR) is set for Sat., June 13. Registration forms can be picked up at County Line Mark or Keota Eagle Foods. Online registration forms are also available on the KFR Facebook page.

Keota City Wide Garage Sales
Senior chorus members sing “Home, Sweet Home” accompanied by Jane Edwards at the commencement ceremony held in the Keota Gym.
Senior Sierra Lyle, class vice president, welcomes guests and classmates before the high school chorus sings “My Senior’s Song.”
Senior Jazmyn Holderness plays the National Anthem to open the graduation ceremony. The entire gym looked on silently and kept their eyes on the flag until she finished. Holderness also sang with the choir during the ceremony.
Senior Callie Greiner delivers a tearful and heartfelt speech to her classmates before they officially graduate. Greiner’s speech elicited many emotions and there were spells of laughter from the audience as she shared her hopes and fears about moving forward from Keota High School. She urged seniors to “memorize this moment” before going out into the world and beginning their adult lives.
