“Our library always appreciates the funds received from Butler County Waste Management’s recycling program,” said Kristen Clark, director of the Clarksville Public Library. “It’s a terrific program that keeps extra paper and cardboard out of landfills. We put those funds towards a variety of library programs throughout the
year.” Recyclable materials include: hardbound and paperbacked books, used cardboard, newspaper, office paper and magazines. The transfer station is located at 25251 Highway 3 East, Allison, IA 50602. The materials are weighed and documented, before employees sort and
bale them. Paper and cardboard are then sold to recycling mills by semiload. Any non-profit organization can participate in this program. For more information, contact Tom Cain, director of BCSWC, at 319267-2070.
