By Bob Vosseller MANCHESTER Some Disney magic recently came to Manchester High School. The idea for it came from a member of the high school Drama Club who served as a production director for it. Student Marisiya Goins suggested the project which included a preshow experience where

Schools Celebrate The Season Of Giving

By Bob Vosseller MANCHESTER – The township School District recently noted two special programs that will warm the body and spirit of residents of the community. The district was busy planning ahead for what might be a brutal winter through a new district-wide service project to support Code Blue, focused on collecting cold-weather essentials for individuals expe-

riencing homelessness in Ocean County. This marks the second year for the project which is now expanding to include the Impact Clubs. Each school in the district had a large Code Blue collection box in its main lobby, inviting families and staff to donate winter items such as hats, gloves, scarves, socks, and blankets. Community Cooperation Cited At Council Meeting By Bob Vosseller MANCHESTER – It’s been said that you have to break some eggs when you make an omelet but Mayor Joseph Hankins recently noted an example that when you drop some eggs from the top of a fire truck ladder, that with some proper engineering, not all of them will break. During a recent council meeting the mayor provided an example of how different agencies such as the township school district and fire company worked together on an interesting community project that involved students, firefighters and eggs.
