Charlie, tell the community, we have almost a million viewers out there, tell them what’s going on in your life.” Charlie Langton: “Pastor, I always do legal analysis for all the various cases whether it is bankruptcy…I work on WWJ Radio. I am on the radio every morning, doing a lot of things, a lot of legal stuff and fun stuff. “Then some of the crime in Detroit, weather conditions, it doesn’t matter. FOX 2 besides ‘Let It Rip,’ which always been very good, I’m the new weekend anchor, morning anchor on the news.” Prophet Banks: “What type of cases been going on in the media that you have been working on, anything unusual, anything different?” Charlie Langton: Well you know, Pastor, I think bankruptcy is still on the minds of a lot of people. People want to see what this bankruptcy has done for Detroit. What will it do for Detroit? We are done with all I think the fighting with the Emergency Manager, Kevin Orr is gone.” Prophet Banks: “I think next week is his last week.” Charlie Langton: “Maybe sooner if he can get the finishing touches on this final plan. But, bottom line, it was not a good time for Detroit. People wanted some investment

in their government and they didn’t get that and there are a lot of reasons why they didn’t get that, and it took an emergency manager. But when you look back I think people will see hope, that the debt, big debt of Detroit is gone. “The way we restructure financing is maybe now a little more secure than it was before, and when you emphasize community services in this bankruptcy, I think if we can see the result of it in a year or two or three, I think people will look back on this time and say, you know what, bankruptcy really wasn’t that bad. It is hard to say it now I get it, I know it.” Prophet Banks: “Right, You know one of the things that got us in this position I truly believe, we had a lot of politicians come in this city and taken a lot of money from Detroit.

Prophet Banks: “That is one of the things that got us in this position. But people don’t want to hear that. They want to blame Lansing.

“But Lansing has no control over in the city of Detroit, when someone takes $350,000 or one million dollars. Lansing has no control over what that man does, you know and a lot of people bring attacks at me and that. We have city leaders that have done a lot of taking and I have to come up against that, and they have set the city back many, many, years. Charlie Langton: “Hopefully the people that were doing the taking are now in prison. You can’t build that jail fast enough for some of them.” Charlie Langton comments on Prophet Cedric Banks “Pastor Banks does a fine job of gathering community, discussing important issues and offering suggestions to the people of Detroit and the area.”
