This test is for all computer science, computer systems science, software engineering, computer engineering, and electrical engineering majors with programming experience. If you didn’t take this test online over the summer, now is the time to take it. If you perform well on this test, you will be advised to take CS1131, which is an accelerated introduction to computer science.
3:00 – 4:00 pm Spatial Visualization Test (Teams 23 – 48)
All engineering majors are required to take this test. You must bring the following with you to the test: 1) Michigan Tech User ID, 2) Michigan Tech Student ID number (M number), and 3) a #2 pencil. To be enrolled in ENG1001 or ENG1101 you must either pass this test with a score above 60% or take ENG1002 – Introduction to Spatial Visualization concurrently. 3:30 – 5:30 PM Modern Language Placement Testing Center Open – Spanish Walker (11), 113
This test is for students who have pre-registered to take a comprehension test in Spanish for placement in the appropriate language course. It is also possible to register on-site; the registration fee is $5.00. Allow 30 minutes for the test; it must be completed by 5:30 pm. The test is online, and you will receive your results immediately. Faculty will be available for consultation about placement test results or any other questions about language programs at Michigan Tech.
