little effect as many small businesses are as complex as the individuals who start them, also given the area in which they serve. In this age of online services and being able to serve many clients across many areas as we do, I think I may have to rethink our business model. However, I tend to be cautious of those individuals who offer their services as a business coach or entrepreneurial experts.

One of the reasons I find this to be is that in today’s market most business coaches focus on motivation and feelings rather than business plans. As Hypnotists we already have a set of products or services. Also some do have plans that help practitioners to create and market programs, although some of these may be in a cookie cutter, one size

Finally, I will say that I have from time to time sat in on presentations at conferences about growing my own business and taken away some advice that I was able to use while discarding what I couldn’t. I will say that in some cases business owners grow real businesses because of discovering breakthroughs and implementing proven best-practice systems and processes. Many of these are often too complex and difficult to implement without proper coaching and mentorship.

But in the end, it is up to the business owner to decide what will and what won’t work. Hard work and determination are the best things to help achieve success. I do not believe you can simply buy success from someone.

The 1st Annual PNW Hypnosis Conference is happening on June 3rd and 4th, 2023 and we have a fantastic venue for the event. The Greater Tacoma Convention Center is in downtown Tacoma. It opened in November 2004 and has been described as the “second largest meeting and event facility in Western Washington”. And it is nice.

The title of the 2023 conference is Where Business Meets Hypnosis. Business First, Marketer Second, Hypnotist Third.

Attendees leave with the knowledge and confidence to practice excellence in their craft and build their businesses to have the most significant impact on clients and their communities.

We are also inviting the general public to come and learn about hypnosis in all of its forms. Participants and presenters can build their businesses while learning and having fun demonstrating their skills to potential clients.
