Dr. Larry Neidigh received his Ph.D. from the University of South Florida in 1987. He subsequently accepted a post-doctoral internship at Community Behavioral Services in Orange Park. He simultaneously accepted a position in the Psychology department at the University of North Florida, where he served 15 years as a tenured associate professor. As the demands of his growing clinical practice grew, he eventually decided to retire from UNF and dedicate his time to the full-time clinical practice of Psychology.

Though trained as both a psychotherapist and a psychological evaluator, over the years, Dr. Neidigh has specialized in the practice of Forensic Psychology and serves as the Clinical Director of Community Behavioral Services. He conducts Forensic Psychological Evaluations for both the criminal and civil courts. He is widely recognized as an expert in performing child custody evaluations, sexual offender risk assessments, parental fitness examinations, psychological evaluations for diagnostic and treatment purposes, psychoeducational evaluations, and evaluations for the criminal courts focusing on competency, sanity, and mitigation.

In addition, Dr. Neidigh was trained and certified in hypnotherapy in 1992. He is the co-author of the Anger and Violence Intervention Guide which is used with clients who are court-ordered to the anger and violence intervention groups. His wife, Joni Neidigh is a psychotherapist and hypnotherapist and co-author of the guide. Included in the guide and program are many techniques and scripts related to hypnosis. Dr. Neidigh’s first career was in the music industry. He was a performer, teacher, studio engineer and producer. He now uses his expertise to write and produce relaxing hypnotic music for use in hypnotic recordings and other settings.

The Hypnotic ABC’s of Anger

This presentation will be informative as well as interactive. Participants will receive an overview of how they can contribute to existing court-ordered and/or voluntary group programs in a meaningful way as well as with individuals. Dr. Neidigh will demonstrate how to implement this simple tool and show hypnotists how they can develop a script to use with individuals who are experiencing anger in a way that contributes to emotional distress or behavioral issues. He will also discuss how he incorporates hypnotic music into those groups or individual sessions.

As there are good companies out there that are using good ethics and honest advertising when it comes to helping create a plan that will give your business or hypnotherapy practice that will help them to grow and thrive.

(The advantages of business coaching for small business owners cannot be overstated, regardless of whether you are managing a small, local business or trying to develop a global enterprise.

(It’s true — many business coaching programs are a waste of time. The problem with many of today’s business coaches and coaching programs is that they are focused on mindsets, motivation, and emotions, and not on implementing proven best-practice systems Forbs Magazine 2018). I should say that I have met and spoken with a few coaches who do legitimately want to help business owners in our field and who are doing so at an affordable cost. While others ask for a more expensive price for their services, it seems that business coaches have become a quasi-Psychologist for many lone entrepreneurs who are in search of someone to finally understand them.
