There are so many celebrations in this edition! Firstly the Coronation of King Charles III when Bromsgrove High Street will be filled with the sounds of local artists, celebrating by rocKING the town. Grab your chairs and settle in for what I’m sure will be an event not to be missed. Turn to page 40 for all the details.

We are also celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Housman Society in this issue. Read the full story on page 26 and discover the celebration concert to be held at Routh Concert Hall, Bromsgrove School on Monday, July 10th. See page 43 for the details.

The Burcot Woodturners have been celebrating the club’s 25th anniversary and their affiliation to the AWGB (Association of Woodturners of Great Britain). You can read about that within this issue.

Within local sports, Sarah Gormley celebrated her 50th season as a Bromsgrove Hockey Player and Sidemoor Bowling Club are soon to be celebrating their centenary, you can find out about attending the event or joining the club on page 50.

Last be certainly not least, Bromsgrove’s Walking Sports Centre is the first in the world to introduce ‘Walking Rounders’ which has been supported by Rounders England and Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire. For more details on any of the Walking Sports turn to page 51.
