An Overview of the Journey

Actionable steps to launch

Q&A

Advisory Team Consensus:

We are designed to grow spiritually in the context of relationships.

Smaller environments (small groups) are the most conducive environment for people to be known and loved.

The most important aspect of an effective small group is the health of the leader.

The quality and quantity of leaders is the bottleneck to effective discipleship in most churches.

Leadership/Discipleship

● The core of developing a leader needs to have a heavy focus on theology and identity.

● Leadership is caught, not taught. It’s really hard to transfer something you haven’t experienced yourself.

● Leaders need a model of an exceptional leader and an experience of authentic community.

The Process

One three-hour meeting per month

Read or listen to five to six books

An introspective exercise per month

Multiple one-on-ones with mentors and other participants

One or two overnight retreats

Social or relational hangouts

The Group

Men, Women, Mixed or Couples Groups

Led by two co-leaders

Comprised of six to eight group members or three to four couples
